We’re a small team with big ideas and a passion for doing things well
Meet the team
LD Physio Team
alistair
Director - Physiotherapist
Alistair is a physiotherapist who became tired of seeing how people are treated within healthcare.
He has both professional and personal experience of the challenges faced by those who experience pain or disability and their families.
Having worked in the NHS, and private sectors, Alistair has also held roles for Great Britain for Special Olympics as well as internationally as a Physiotherapist and Educator.
In specialising in supporting those with more complex needs, Alistair has gained skills allowing him to work with many people across varying clinical settings, from remote online work to face to face intensive programmes.
Liz
Director - Therapy Assistant
Liz has spent the last 25 years working in the health and social care sector, across both children’s and adult services. She is the Physio Assistant at LD Physio and works supporting people with a range of needs.
Liz has worked for the Department of Health as part of the Valuing People Now Team and the British Institute for Learning Disabilities (BILD).
She is passionate about the delivery of excellent support for all and is a highly popular member of the team.
Joe
Physiotherapist
Joe has a strong background in sport and exercise and remains actively involved in high-level performance sport. He has a particular interest in musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries, which informs his approach to movement, strength, and functional rehabilitation. This combination of clinical expertise and lived sporting experience allows Joe to deliver physiotherapy that is both practical and relevant to everyday function and physical performance.
He also has experience working across a range of settings and understands the complex physical, communication, and environmental challenges faced by people with learning disabilities and their families. Joe particularly values working in the community, where he is able to take time to build meaningful relationships and tailor physiotherapy interventions to fit each person’s lifestyle, environment, and individual goals, helping them achieve the best possible outcomes.
